There are many ways to work with a Decorative Artist, and there are many things we can do to help you solve your design dilemmas; from customizing a treatment inspired by a wallpaper to creating a beautiful and original wall finish that acts as the perfect focal point, or backdrop, to set the rest of the room so that your client has a space completely tailored to their style. I’d say that’s much better than picking wallpaper out of a book that everyone else has.

When working with interior designers, ideally I’ll get a call toward the beginning of a project. I prefer to be called in after the designer has had their initial meeting with the client. The interior designer will know budget, style, timeline, and other factors about the project so that we are able to have an effective brainstorming session about what projects would be best suited for the client’s needs.
We can either meet at the jobsite, my studio, or your office to talk about the look you’re going for. We have an extensive portfolio and can talk about application processes and practicality of different types of finishes in certain areas, and look at inspiration images. Brainstorming sessions are often a lot of fun and productive in figuring out the best plan for your design.
A decorative artist is A miracle worker
Other times, I am called because something didn’t go as planned and I am asked to fix it. Sometimes the wallpaper that was specified came in in two different color batches and they need to blend the mismatched section to the rest of the paper. Or a pair of lamps that were supposed to be a champagne metallic are actually green! Do you want to have to send the merchandise back and have a major delay in your schedule? Perhaps the client wants to keep their family heirloom dining set but update it to a new stylish finish to go with the rest of the decor, or make over a fireplace to fit with the new design.
